Trump held what was arguably his most historic rally yet at Madison Square Garden earlier this week. A Republican candidate sold out one of the most iconic venues, in the country’s most iconic city, with his supporters overflowing into the streets of Manhattan by the tens of thousands. But one of the speakers he chose to feature told some jokes about black people and Puerto Rico, and unfortunately, that’s diverted a lot of attention from a legendary event.
Tony Hinchcliffe (otherwise known as Kill Tony) called the Caribbean island and U.S. territory a “floating island of garbage” and quipped about carving watermelons instead of pumpkins with a black attendee.
And I’m annoyed with the comedian, not because I was offended by what he said, but because I’ve never found him funny, and I’m irritated that this cornball was given the opportunity in the first place, because if you’re going to tell racist jokes at one of the most widely watched campaign events in American history, with the Regime and the legacy media flailing and flatlining, desperate for a Hail Mary, at the very least, they should actually be funny.
I don’t want to be too hard on him, because I think he actually had some decent bits in his routine, and I’m sure it was an intimidating and overwhelming experience for him. But if we can be honest about ethnic stereotypes, we should be able to do the same for lackluster comedy, and in his 11 minute appearance he never got more than a slight upward curl from the left corner of my mouth. I never cracked a full smile, let alone giggled.
There are so many other gifted entertainers that know how to deliver this material. Off the top of my head, Ryan Long, Shane Gillis, Dave Chapelle, Theo Von and Tim Dillon come to mind.
Comedy should be able to push boundaries and acknowledge the truth, even when it’s politically incorrect.
Racist jokes can be hilarious, and more importantly, they can be healing.
I think it’s important that they’re told, because if we can’t joke about one another, how can we really live with one another? How can we really connect with one another? How can we really love one another?
Think about the people in your life that tell jokes at your expense. Sure, when the wrong person does it at the wrong time with the wrong intentions, it doesn’t land. You don’t feel good about it. You feel like they’re attacking you, but hiding behind humor to air their grievances.
But who bullies you more than your own family? Who makes more fun of you than your closest and most trusted friends?
When we’re walking on eggshells, we can’t be honest with each other. And when we can’t be honest with each other, we can’t trust each other. And without trust, we can’t have a functional society.
But there’s a time and a place for racist humor, and it probably isn’t a highly publicized campaign event a week out from the election for a presidential candidate constantly being accused of racism, where the comic in question neglects the most important component of this brand of comedy…the part where you actually laugh.
And it’s a shame that so much time has been spent talking about what really doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things.
The establishment media wants you to believe Trump and the people voting for him are Nazis because one of his headliners told some off color jokes. They want you to believe that’s the story. But the real story is that at in a deep blue city, Trump filled an arena to full capacity with thousands of supporters that audibly booed both of Heathcliffe’s gaffes.
Heathcliffe gave the Democrats the kind of fodder they’ll repurpose and recycle for years to come, and that’s unfortunate – especially because he wasn’t funny, and especially as Trump was making unprecedented inroads with black and Hispanic voters.
But what’s even more disappointing than him are the American citizens ready and willing to vote for an incompetent, talentless imbecile, condemning their nation to its early grave over a couple of crude remarks.
This administration put the American Dream on life support. They treated our Constitution like the throwaway in a deck of cards, they destroyed our border, they crippled our economy, they made us more dependent on China, they tried to coerce Americans into taking experimental and ineffective vaccines while pretending to care about “bodily autonomy,” they pulled out of Afghanistan without a plan, surrendering billions in military equipment to the terrorists we’ve been fighting for 20 years, making us a laughing stock on the world stage and as a result, got us involved in two massive wars. And that’s not even half of it.
There is no lie a communist won’t tell to obtain more authority. They’ll tell you they won’t raise your taxes, and then they do. They’ll tell you you can keep your guns, and then they take them. They’ll tell you they’re going to make you happier than you ever have been, and guarantee everyone in your country dignity and a high quality of life, and then they turn around and make you a slave.
They showed us a preview of what’s to come, and if you want to spend the rest of your life the way you spent the last four years…I guess that’s your prerogative.
But if you want to live in the greatest country in the world again, this election is too important to be decided by a viral clip.
Trump supporters booed bad jokes. Kamala turned us into one, and is cackling at our decline when nothing’s funny about it.
If you care more about a racist joke than you do about the joke that we’ve become, your priorities are misplaced, and when you have even less freedom, less power, and less opportunity than you already do, you’ll have no one to blame but yourself and the Marxists that brainwashed you.
what do you think?
