Local Sorority Leaps

I thought I’d share some of the progress I’ve made so far with my local sorority, ΔΔΘ. If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that this has been an ongoing, continuous effort with obstacle after obstacle. But as Marquis de Vauvenargues once said “Great men (or women) undertake great things because they are great; fools, because they think them easy.”

While we still have a long way to go, Delta Delta Theta has come extremely far.

Before recruitment, we held one informational meeting where all interested students attended to learn more about who we were and what we were doing.

The recruitment process started with a mixer for all PNMs and current members, and during the following week interviews were held between eBoard members and PNMs.

Bid cards were delivered over a two day period (ignore my degenerate desk)

and we celebrated the end of recruitment with a mixer with Harvard’s Kappa Sigma chapter.

We recently volunteered as half and half raffle ticket sellers for a Bruins game

and this past Saturday we put together Thanksgiving baskets for the New England Center for Homeless Veterans!

You can follow us on twitter and instagram, and feel free to check out our website!

I’ll be honest: I’m constantly overwhelmed by negativity and ignorance from people on the outside looking in, apathy and lack of participation from some of my girls, and the general stress that comes with my workload as founder and president, but “a challenge only becomes a risk when you bow to it,” and I know that with time, patience and dedication Delta Delta Theta will grow into something that changes Lasell College and our community for the better, and become a meaningful sisterhood that will make a positive impact on everyone involved.

  • im pro life, and I’m conflicted, and I think that’s a good thing. And I think the more questions we ask ourselves and our fellow Americans despite what we believe or what we think we know, the better off we’ll all be. I wrote a blog post for the first time in forever and I hope you’ll read it, even if you hate me after. Link in bio, read before bitching. And I’d also encourage you to go over to @backinfebruary_ to read a unique, refreshing, balanced and most importantly compassionate perspective from a single mother that became pregnant unexpectedly.

the pizza I ate in it: $14
realizing that if I go on enough weird bumble dates I’ll probably write a book and become exorbitantly wealthy: priceless
  • Counting down the days until no one in the continental US can contact me unless I have WiFi and I’m blacked out on a beach somewhere getting burnt to a crisp in Caribbean sun
  • Remember when our parents told us not to talk to people on the internet and I live with someone I met on FB and I’m going to a wedding for someone I met on insta lol
  • Found my Barbie dream house right off of U street 🥰
  • I work hard because I have a dream of stacking hundreds on each blade of a ceiling fan above my bed (that will be mostly ornamental because I’ll have central air) and making it rain
