Approximately five centuries ago, I tried to start a weekly feature called Frugal Friday, in which I would present affordable alternatives to high end pieces for those prepping in poverty like myself. Frankly, with my schedule, I have neither the time nor energy to scavenge the internet for similar items on opposite ends of the cost spectrum, hence, the short life of “Frugal Fridays.” However, as I mentioned that I’d like to incorporate fashion into my blog more, I will be bringing back Frugal Fridays and as opposed to finding less expensive versions of luxury items, I’ll be showcasing/discussing reasonably priced fashion in general.
I never got around to posting my 2 cents on the Lilly for Target line, but it shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone that I’m extremely excited and literally counting down the days. If you haven’t checked out the collection yet, do so here. Lilly elitists were upset about the collaboration, suggesting that it cheapened the brand and that it would lose its meaning as they extended their availability to demographics that can’t afford Lilly at its regular price points. If the idea of people less wealthy than yourself being able to buy lower quality Lilly Pulitzer for a limited amount of time is really that upsetting to you, you should probably get back to 16th century France and claim your rightful place in the bourgeoise.
Anyways, the items above are what I’m itching to buy on April 19th.
